Boardroom: Talking story with surfing's legendary surfboard shapers

In prehistoric Hawaiian times, those who made surfboards used Koa wood and were revered as kahunas, edifice boards for royalty. On the mainland, boards were being built with Redwood in the 1920s and 1930s. In the beginning 1950s a cottage industry started which became the genesis of the billions dollar a year surf assiduity. A handful of surfers began making surfboards out of balsa, and then in the recent 1950s to early 1960s, polyurethane-based lather. Those shapers are getting on in their years, and with the influx of inferior Chinese and other transpacific surfboards made by people who don't actually surf, it is important (for those who surf), to get the story down and how the surfboard industry came to be, if not for prosperity, then for the next generation of shapers who will extend the time honored tradition of shaping and fine tuning surfboards the old mode way, by hand.
Filmmaker Markus Davids is working on a flick picture show that chronicles the history of surfboard making in California and Hawaii. Slated for a Summer 2010 emancipate, the movie, Boardroom, talks to the pioneers of the surfboard structure industry in their shaping rooms in California and Hawaii. DMN spoke with Markus on the making of the smokescreen as well as the equipment he chose to tell the story.

I had a Sony DSC-W7 camera already. This housing is valuable at $ 270, but the payment of buying a new camera with housing was lawful as much or more.
The example in any event allows full check over all camera functions and buttons and is compatible with Ikelite flashes and lenses (weed out, macro and widespread off the mark edge) extendable, so that there is still mess of dwell for extension. The housing is monumental by balancing with some of the housing that you buy with gala cameras, but the the greater part is for a charitable travelling, amicable (especiallywith 5 mm gloves) for Northern California diving.
All in all, it's a loyal apartment if you already own the camera!
